A day after the senators disappointing season came to an end the organization made it's first change, a big one. Longtime general manager of the Ottawa Senators Bryan Murray and former coach stepped down and moved to an Senior advisory role, Pierre Dorion the former assistant general manager gets promoted to be the general manager. Murray was a legend for the Senators, trading for Turris, Anderson, MacArthur, and drafting Erik Karlsson. He brought the team to the Stanley Cup finals in 2007, but with a couple of injuries lost in 5 to the Anahem Ducks. Bryan put his full effort into the team, but with his health issues he felt it was time to step down. Pierre Dorion the new Sens general manager is ecstatic for this opportunity, when reporters asked about a new coach and top 6 forward, lips were sealed but was hinting a change for coaching staff. I personally believe they're waiting for the Boston Bruins to fire Claude Julien so they can make a decision, as well, I believe next season you'll be seeing a familiar face behind the bench. I believe the Sens will appoint Senators legend Daniel Alfredsson the next assistant coach, a decision hasn't been made on Hoffman yet, the new general manager Dorion has a lo to do this upcoming month. I would like to thank Bryan Murray for all his contributions towards the Senators and the community and I'm glad you'll be still apart of the organization, I would also like to congratulate Pierre Dorion on becoming the 9th general manager in Senators history. Stay Tuned in the upcoming days for a playoff preview and a prospect video. #ThanksMurray
